Pollakiuria

The term "Pollakiuria" in medicine refers to an increase in the frequency of urination over 24 hours without necessarily increasing the total volume of urine output.

The term comes from the greek word “Pollachi”, urinary frequency (s) which means "often", with "-uria" (suffix that refers to the word "urine").

In some cases, urinary frequency may be accompanied by other symptoms such as pain and burning, especially when urinating.
