Remember that this is not an exhaustive list and it is highly recommended to consult your doctor, in case of symptom’s persistence.

What is the therapy for photopsias?

Since the origin of photopsias may be several causes,  you should consult your doctor, so the base disease can be discovered and deal adequately.

In case of photopsias, it is always best consult withan eye doctor, specialist who will examine the retina and vitreous body and will be able to establish if the presence of photopsias is a sign of eye disease.

In the case of retinal detachment and retinal tears, you will need to resort to surgery and targeted laser treatments. In case of abnormalities of the vitreous body (which can be caused by a reduced hydration), it is often necessary to increase the intake of water and mineral salts.
