Nail fungus

Nail fungus is an inflammation of the nail triggered by fungi (such as candida) or, less often, by bacteria (such as Pseudomonas, Streptococcus or Staphylococcus). The toenails are most often to be affected because they favor the appearance because of moisture . The nail fungus is often noticeable in the showers, in the locker room of the gym and, more generally, in the places where it is easier bare feet come in contact with wet or damp surfaces. Moreover, their appearance may be facilitated by the use of unsuitable footwear that does not allow a good transpiration.

Depending on the cause of the nail fungus, it can lead to a deformation of the nail and changes of its coloration, which first takes on a yellowish, then becomes more and more gray. The situation tends to deteriorate especially if the nail fungus is not suitably treated.
