Nalazi se u eritrocitima, odnosno crvenih krvnim zrncima, i slu\u017ei za preno\u0161enje krvi oboga\u0107ene kiseonikom u ostale delove tela. Gvo\u017e\u0111e tako\u0111e aktivno u\u010destvuje u procesu proizvodnje adenozin trifosfata, jednog od glavnih izvora energije u telu. Ovaj metal predstavlja klju\u010dni faktor u odr\u017eavanju normalne funkcije metabolizma kod skoro svih \u017eivih bi\u0107a.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"koja-je-funkcija-gvozdja\">Koja je funkcija gvo\u017e\u0111a?<\/h2>\n<p>Gvo\u017e\u0111e je jedan od glavnih sastojaka hemoglobina i mioglobina. Hemoglobin i mioglobin su dva proteina koji u\u010destvuju u preno\u0161enju i skladi\u0161tenju kiseonika u krvi. Hemoglobin prenosi kiseonik iz plu\u0107a u ostatak tela, dok mioglobin snabdeva mi\u0161i\u0107e i druga tkiva kiseonikom. Iako se velike koli\u010dine gvo\u017e\u0111a mogu na\u0107i u povr\u0107u, oblik u kome se ovaj mineral nalazi ne mo\u017ee se toliko efikasno razgraditi u telu. Zbog toga se najve\u0107a koli\u010dina gvo\u017e\u0111a dobija iz hrane \u017eivotinjskog porekla. Kako bi se osigurao dovoljan unos ovog minerala u telo, savetuje se ishrana bogata namirnicama koje pored gvo\u017e\u0111a sadr\u017ee i vitamin c (poput limuna i paprika).
