Il couvre les patients en collaboration avec la plupart des unit\u00e9s op\u00e9ratoires de l\u2019h\u00f4pital clinique (soins intensifs, chirurgie cardiaque, cardiologie, cardiologie, orthop\u00e9die, neurochirurgie, neurologie, chirurgie thoracique, pulmonologie, chirurgie vasculaire et chirurgie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale).<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019objectif est de pr\u00e9parer le patient \u00e0 l\u2019intervention et\/ou de minimiser les complications postop\u00e9ratoires et de faciliter ainsi une r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration fonctionnelle plus rapide.<\/p>\n<p>Le D\u00e9partement de r\u00e9\u00e9ducation et de r\u00e9adaptation fonctionnelle comprend trois sections consacr\u00e9es respectivement \u00e0 la r\u00e9adaptation orthop\u00e9dique, \u00e0 la r\u00e9adaptation neurologique et \u00e0 la r\u00e9adaptation cardiorespiratoire, avec plus de cent lits d\u2019h\u00f4pital. En plus des th\u00e9rapies traditionnelles, le service met en \u0153uvre les m\u00e9thodes les plus modernes afin de permettre au patient de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer au mieux les fonctions perdues temporairement.<\/p>\n<p>Les patients trait\u00e9s par les services externes peuvent utiliser les m\u00eames installations que les patients hospitalis\u00e9s. Une attention particuli\u00e8re est accord\u00e9e au traitement des patients ayant subi une chirurgie orthop\u00e9dique \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital de jour. Ils peuvent ensuite poursuivre leurs soins dans les jours qui suivent l\u2019intervention chirurgicale. Ensuite on a les patients atteints de maladies chroniques de l\u2019appareil locomoteur (arthrose, ost\u00e9oporose, lombalgie, douleurs lombaires, cervicalgies, etc.) et les patients souffrant de maladies cardiaques, respiratoires et neurologiques.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis 2007, le D\u00e9partement est actif dans le nouveau Centre de recherche, d\u2019\u00e9ducation et de r\u00e9habilitation de Humanitas, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 dans une structure autonome de 6.000 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s et situ\u00e9 en face de l\u2019h\u00f4pital. Le centre de r\u00e9\u00e9ducation comprend 120 lits r\u00e9partis en trois services d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9\u00e9ducation orthop\u00e9dique, neurologique et cardiorespiratoire.
