Alginic acid

Alginic acid is primarily used to treat conditions such as dyspepsia, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux, and epigastric and retrosternal pain.

What is Alginic acid?

Alginic acid works by creating a foam barrier in order to prevent substances in the stomach from returning back to the esophagus. In particular, scintigraphic studies have clearly shown that the stomach’s contents tend to float.

How should Alginic acid be taken?

Alginic acid is typically administered orally in the form of solutions or tablets.
